Delete your JurisFolio account and data
You can delete your JurisFolio account here, or from inside the app under Settings → Delete account & data. Read this page first. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
1. What will be deleted
We remove the data tied to your sign-in, in one deletion:
- Your account, and the Google or Microsoft sign-in linked to it;
- Every practice book you own: matters, parties, proceedings, hearings, orders, notes, tasks, and the document records we store;
- Grants, named accounts, and invitations on those books;
- Your seat and grants on a book you were only invited onto. That book stays with its owner;
- Court sign-in details, preferences, and usage we stored for you;
- The signed-in session. The app also clears the copy saved on that device.
This is a real deletion, not a disabled account. See Data retention.
2. What will not be deleted
- PDFs in your Google Drive or OneDrive. Those files stay in your cloud account and remain openable after the JurisFolio account is gone. Delete that folder yourself if you want them removed.
- Your Google or Microsoft account. We cannot delete it. You can revoke JurisFolio’s access in that provider’s security settings.
- A practice book you do not own. Deleting your account removes your access. The owner’s matters stay.
- Anything already sent to someone else, including a client WhatsApp notice or a paper they already downloaded.
- Encrypted backups already written. Those copies age out on the host’s existing backup schedule.
3. Confirm your identity and delete
Sign in with the same Google or Microsoft account you use in the JurisFolio app. That provider handles the sign-in. JurisFolio never sees your password. The identity token stays in this browser and is sent only to the JurisFolio API over HTTPS.
Account deletion
Choose the provider you use for JurisFolio:
Signed in as
This permanently deletes the JurisFolio account above and the practice book we host for it. It cannot be undone.
Case-sensitive. This is the last step.
You may still want to:
- Delete the JurisFolio folder in Google Drive or OneDrive, if you want those PDFs gone;
- Revoke JurisFolio’s access in your Google or Microsoft account;
- Uninstall the app from your devices.
4. If sign-in does not work
You can still ask for erasure if this page cannot sign you in, for example if you no longer have that email account.
- In the app: Settings → Delete account & data, then type
DELETE; - Or email privacy@jurisfolio.app from the account address, with the subject Delete JurisFolio account.
We confirm the request is yours before deleting someone else’s book. Review accounts used for app review are reset separately and are not deleted here.
